Cultured Marble products such as vanity tops are easily cleaned with a soft rag or sponge and most nonabrasive household cleaners. We recommend routinely using a glass cleaner such as Windex or Glass Plus, etc. Most sanitizing household cleaners such as Formula 409®, Fantastic®, or Tilex® are also acceptable as long as they are labeled "Non Abrasive".
DO NOT use abrasive products such as Comet®, Ajax®, or Soft Scrub® on your cultured marble products. They may dull the polished sheen on the products.
There are several commercial products such as Hope's Cultured Marble Polish which will enhance the gloss and sheen of the cultured marble. You may also use non abrasive liquid automotive or fiberglass cleaners and polishes to protect and enhance the shine of cultured marble (Follow the label instructions).
Severe stains such as nicotine stains and nail polish can normally be removed with nail polish remover or acetone.
Water temperatures exceeding 130 degrees may cause cracking or crazing, thereby voiding the warranty. (Temperatures above 130 degrees are dangerous to the skin even for very brief moments)
Protect the surface of your cultured marble with regular applications of wax (Gel Gloss, car wax, etc.)
To remove surface scratches, try a very mild abrasive such as toothpaste. Deeper scratches may require wet sanding with an appropriate sandpaper (220, 400, 600). Then, bring the shine back by buffing with an automotive buffer and polishing compound. Do not use rubbing compound, as this is too coarse.
Hard water and mineral deposists caused by water supply in some areas may be removed using cleaners sold for removing iron, calcium, and other mineral deposits. (Follow the label instructions). DO NOT leave these products in contact with the cultured marble for an extended or prolonged period of time.
